Two homelands. One flight.

Farasha (فراشة) is Arabic for butterfly.

The Butterfly is the most detailed piece we have ever made, with more than 300,000 stitches. Its left wing carries the red, white and green of Lebanon, land of the cedar. From its right side, a cascade of red poppies breaks away and scatters across the back, over the hood and down the sleeve. Every spring these flowers blanket the hills of Palestine, and they have become a symbol of the land and of the lives it holds.

A butterfly begins life confined and leaves it on its own wings. This piece is about transformation, about neighbours bound together by history, and about beauty that always finds a way to grow back.

Stands with Palestine and Lebanon.

How it’s made
  1. 01
    Designed in-house

Every motif is drawn by the Vox Gentè team, built from a people’s own symbols and the colours of their flag.

  2. 02
    Stitched, not printed

The design is built thread by thread, over 300,000 stitches. Embroidery doesn’t crack, peel or fade the way a print does.

  3. 03
    Made to last

Premium heavyweight fabric, chosen to carry dense embroidery without puckering, so the piece keeps its shape wash after wash.

  4. 04
    Made to give

20% of profits go to Salam Charity UK, and our team goes out on the ground with them to make sure the help arrives.
